Just wanted to get a quick note out and let you know to please post a sincere thank you from myself to all those that have submitted notes. I cannot possibly reply to them all, and just want everyone to know that their messages are greatly appreciated and enjoyed. I have heard from several old friends from home, several family members, many friends of yours, and others.

I met a LTC (lady) here in the building yesterday and saw her again today and she had only been back one month...she came by today and brought a large (6'x4') topography and pointed out several places that were in Jeff's photos and several other prominent areas. She did calm my anxiety somewhat by saying that there was great reconstruction efforts and that the local citizens were very appreciative of our efforts for liberation and the rebuilding. She had many occasions to have one-on-one time with the locals; I don't think Jeff has had that capability so far. Thank goodness that good can be the result for these people after so many years of suppression and fear...

Just wanted to say hello and hope that everything is going good for you and all the men and women serving with you. We really appreciate what ya'll are doing for us back home.I just watched a show on History Channel called Mail Call,and R.Lee Ermey did a sigment on the Kiowa chopper.Man,that bird you fly is something else!! And he did it at Fort Rucker!!!!!!

You and your family and comrades are in our prayers daily. Your service is greatly appreciated.

Just a few lines to let you know how much you are missed here at home. Though we miss you we are so very proud of you, Dawn, and the kids, because of your choice to serve. You have such a precious family and we love them very much.

Nice website. ... I have a great deal of respect for you and your wife and the commitment you have to the church. While I am still here, I want to help out as much as possible. If your wife needs help with anything while you are gone, please let her know that I would like to help. I am not a master mechanic or carpenter, but I can do a lot. Cara can also help out.

I think of you so often and all the memories from your whole life..sitting out til the wee hours on my porch comes to mind. Know that I have and will always love you and pray for your safe return. I am so proud to call you my nephew.

Just wanted let you know we are thinking about you. The weather has been great for the last few day. We are going to watch APSU play tonight in the 2nd round of the OVC. If they win tonight then we play for the title Saturday. They won all of their conference games this year and have a 26 and 0 at home. Kerry & Brian's house is looking good and they hope to start on the sheetrock next week.

You, Dawn, Spencer, and Paker have been in my thought and prayers! I hope this e-mail finds you in good spirits and doing well! Know that I and many others support you and all the men over there and know that this must be done.

YOU have a great mom. ... Keep up the good work, be careful and return home safely. I must add, I know how you must feel. I had 2 tours to Viet Nam early on in my career and flew on UH1s. An lifetime experience i will NEVER forget.

... feel compelled to write in support of you and all our men and women serving over seas. Maybe it's because I have a nephew in Special Forces... don't know where he's stationed right now. Words are not enough... As I watch and listen to news account about all of you in battle, I can not put into words how proud I am to be an American. I don't know what words to use to express the deep gratitude that I feel in my heart... for the sacrifices you all have made (including your families) serving our country. I know your dedication has made our home a safer place. The courage you have keeps us free. May God bless you and all our troops, may you be safe and come home soon. May your families and loved ones have strength each day as they await your home coming... and what a great home coming that will be!!!

Having had a career in the military that extended through Viet Nam I find it gratifying that the people of our country finally have an appreciation of/for the sacrifices that our soldiers make in their behalf. I am also glad that being a soldier is once again a thing to be proud of. But most of all, I want to thank you for standing guard for all of us here at home.

Thank you for each day that you put your life on the line for the cause of freedom. Each one of you is making a difference. May the Lord bless you all and keep you safe.

I work with your Mom at SMDC and eat lunch with her occassionally. She could not be more proud of you and the work you and your unit are doing. My son returned last year from Jordan and Afghanistan, so I know a little about what she is going thru on this end. My thoughts and prayers are for you guys to do the great job I know you will and return safely to your family! Always remember we here at home are behind you all the way and support the important work you are doing!

I have a young cousin now serving in Iraq with the 3rd Battalion in the 504th parachute infantry regiment (Blue Devils). He served in Afghanistan too. His brother will be joining the army this summer. Recently his camp was under attack and it was a very difficult period in our lives. I pray daily that he comes home safely. We are very proud of him and of all the young men and women serving overseas. I will pray that you and the entire serviceman too return home without incidence.

... I want you to know that my two daughters will adopt you they are 8 and 4 yrs old...They are already excited about being able to write to a soldier... They both enjoy aircraft. Take care and I know that God will watch over you and the other men in your unit..

Just a quick note from stateside to say that our prayers and thoughts are with you and your battalion. You are making us proud.

Many thanks from me and my family for taking the war on terror to their front yard and not US cities. The work that you all have been doing is incredible, no military every has done so much to prove our resolve yet maintain such compassion for the innocents civilians.

Jeff, your family is doing well (at least to us on the outside). They are troopers. Parker is growing so much...He talks more at church than I have heard him before. We will try to keep in touch so you get all the scoop from home!

Great to be in Iraq Huh? Well, it will end maybe not soon enough but it will. You got a month in so far and the more time you get in the faster it seems to go. Got about a month left plus a week before I see Heather and the kids again.

Well the weathermen are giving snow for today, and in Alabama a dusting will keep the schools closed. If you can think of anything I can send you, just let me know.
